For real. First birthdays rock. I love watching and capturing these little ones celebrate their first trip around the sun. Remy's session was no different. He rocked it. Literally! Remy has been to my Carnegie studio a few times. Some may call him a professional - but I just call him my rock star! He is always happy and ready to star in his very own show.

She was born just before Christmas and she was in such a hurry to meet her mama that she didn't wait to get to the hospital. This sweet baby girl decided to make her debut in her mom's car in the parking lot of Taco bell!! Mom delivered her alone and tied her umbilical chord with a shiny ribbon. What a perfect way to symbolize what and perfect present this princess is. That's just where I found this lovely woman, Holly. She posted asking for a photographer THAT DAY. Which seems like a crazy request, worked out perfectly. I was available and I could not pass up the opportunity to work with this amazing couple. Engagement sessions are one of my favorites. The catch is this - they aren't engaged. They've been married for SIXTY SIX YEARS!!! How amazing is that? I just loved spending time with them. You can see their love glowing through their eyes when they look at each other.

Let me tell you how much I LOVE these dresses! They are soft, light weight and comfortable. They come in 3 different types (tank, cap sleeves, or a ballerina style) and an endless amount of prints and patterns. My little princesses LOVED twirling in these. They are easily dressed up for a special occasion and comfy enough to play at the park. Either way they are absolutely adorable.

 

Each dress is $32, which may seem a little steep - but I assure you the quality of these pieces are worth it! Not to mention that the fabric is so stretchy that my 5 year old could easily wear her sister's dress, so I do not think they will be out growing these any time soon! I had to convince them to take them off a the end of the night! They just loved playing with them on.

 

I mean just check out that twirl! I want one of these dresses!

I love looking at the skyline, watching the boats on the rivers, and taking in the beauty of the many bridges. When I got the opportunity to work with this beautiful expecting family for their maternity session and they suggested the South Side (specifically the Hot Metal Bridge) I immediately was so excited! I've crossed this bridge plenty of times an awed at it's structure, but never did I think about doing a photo session there. I am so glad that they wanted to meet with me and capture this amazing part of Pittsburgh for their maternity session. 

 

Right around the corner from the bridge is an adorable area with a trail. Pittsburgh never ceases to amaze me with all of it's aesthetically pleasing places! Just look at how picture perfect this family is.

Brooke was such a sweetheart during her mini session and her brother was such a ham! I love working with these two. My daughter came along for the session to help get some genuine smiles, and I think that it worked out well! They thought she was just too funny.

My knee surgery was a huge set back, but I am progressing every day and hopefully I will be back to 100% and chasing these little ones around soon!

Casey came to the studio to get a special picture for her grandma. She is 5 years old as of last month! I feel like it was just yesterday that this little girl was born and I was in the hospital holding her and awaiting the birth of my own daughter. They have grown to be best friends and I am so happy for the bond that they share!

I couldn't pick just one image to share on my facebook, take a look for yourself and you'll see why. Every single photo shows the energy, spunk and adorableness that this little princess has to offer the world!

I never realized how many newborns I have photographed until they are all placed in front of me on the screen! 

When I started photography 5 years ago I started because my daughter had gotten her one month photos taken at Sears and I waited 3 weeks for them to arrive after I ordered. When the moment finally came and I had the images in my hands I almost cried. What should have been tears of joy from looking at photos that I spent way too much money on were not tears of joy, but of disappointment!! My daughter had a huge red scratch on her face that was basically glowing in every single shot. the coloring was monotone and the quality was just straight BLAH. I decided that day that I was going to learn to master my already beloved hobby and I was going to help people capture images that bring them those tears of joy that I craved.

The time had come. I had finally booked a newborn session! I was so excited. I researched, I studied, I read, I watched videos - but boy oh boy was newborn photography HARD! I am proud to say that I have come a long way and all the hard work and shushing and cuddling and snuggling makes every image worth it that much more!

Now it's best to schedule your newborn session within the first two weeks of your baby's life to ensure the perfect sleepy squishy photos. Sometimes, though life gets in the way. This little love bug was one month old and with a little patience and a lot of love we got him to "sleep like a baby" and got some great images!

Baby Joey was just a few hours old and I got to hold and snuggle and squish him! I just love my job! How could I not when this is the cuteness I get to work with???

It goes to show that even though they may think they are little older than the rest of my clientelle - you're never too old to have a little fun during a photo shoot. It does good for the soul to act a little silly and get your giggle on!

Jacob is TEN years old!! I don't know where the time went, but I cannot believe this little man is pretty much a pre-teen! WHAT HAPPENED!? He was and is one of my favorite little buddies and always will be! Just look how cool he looks!!!!!

Beachbody is an amazing company that not only helps people with workout DVDs, meal plans, and nutrition shakes - they shape people into nurturing, helpful and successful coaches. These girls really have transformed into healthy, happy and financially stable women all because of this company.

First, let's meet Steph Lombardi from Steph Lombardi Fitness. Hi, Steph!

Steph has recently been able to leave her corporate job due to Beachbody and runs a booming team under the name Notorious Beauties and Bosses. She is truly a #girlboss to look up to. She's a mom, a fiance, a fantastic friend, and an even better motivator. If you have been thinking about joining the Beachbody movement and getting your life on a healthy track, she is the person to contact!

We had so much fun during her session and I think that I really captured her personality. Steph is originally from Erie, PA but now lives in the outer Pittsburgh area. She is beautiful inside and out, don't you agree?

Now let's meet Jenn Stevens from Jenn Stevens Fitness. Hello, darling!

Jenn Stevens is a one star diamond coach - which in Beachbody talk she's kind of a big deal! She is a stay at home dog mom as her shirt from Faith Forward Apparel states! Her facebook page is full of pictures of her adorable pup that I can't get enough of! She has great workout tips, recipe and motivation as well!! She is so down to earth and sweet that I wish I could just bottle her up and take her every where with me! She runs a thriving team named Team Royal Dream and she lives up to the name seeing as how she was able to build a new house with a great pool all thanks to Beachbody and her success as a coach! Jenn is such a radiant woman and I am so glad that I got to meet her and spend time with her. Just look how her smile glows with happiness!

We spent Memorial Day evening together walking around in gorgeous weather in Moon, PA. I love this park so much....it's my favorite!

I am so happy that I found her, so that way all the little cuties (Like baby Audrey, here) can look absolutely precious!! These hats, headbands, and leggins are all available at her Etsy shop or facebook page. They make great baby shower gifts, props, and birthday/holiday presents! She can make them in any size....I think I may need one for when winter comes!

Not just one boy, but this family is blessed with TWO handsome little boys!! They are going to be best buds for life. Each one lucky to have the other. I just love watching little ones interact with their siblings. It melts my heart how they watch each other and play with each other. Even though Evan is only 6 months old, you can see in his eyes how much he adores his big bro.

Honestly though....Who wouldn't adore this little man!! He is just too cute for words!!

But I guess they got it from their amazing parents. What a beautiful family!!

This was their first time in my shared studio space in Neville Island!!

We met on a beautiful spring day at Mellon Park in Pittsburgh for some pictures with the beautiful blooming trees. Kira loved all the puppies running around the park and I loved all the fresh air and sunshine! Just look at her adorable face!!
